The Swissvale Mile

The Swissvale Mile is an annual race, fun run, and dog walk that benefits the Swissvale community. Proceeds support the Swissvale Police K-9 officers, youth athletics, and the Swissvale Rotary. This event is a great and fun community building opportunity.

We support this event financially and provide for the logistical space needs for packet preparation and pickup, as well as race day restrooms.

Swissvale’s Juneteenth Celebration

Juneteenth is a national holiday that commemorates the emancipation of slavery in the United States of America. The date is based on when the final slaves heard the announcement in Galveston, TX on June 19, 1865.

Swissvale held its first ever Juneteenth celebration on June 18, 2022. Our church financially partnered with this event and joins in the celebration of freedom and life.
